Location: North York
Project Overview
This North York project was a full home renovation initiated primarily due to the absence of an HVAC system and a finished but unusable basement. We completely gutted the basement to add foam insulation, framing, and drywall. On the main floor, we removed numerous interior walls to create an open-concept living space. With this renovation, the client wanted a design that featured modern finishes with contemporary features in the kitchen which meant having a sleek, under cabinet range hood with painted slab doors. The overall design features a range of cool greys with accented black and grey tones. To finish the kitchen, we installed the same countertop and slab for the backsplash to create a continuous look. The client requested to have organization in the kitchen and bathrooms, so our team designed and installed custom millwork. For each bathroom, part of the renovation didn’t just mean installing new fixtures, we made sure to waterproof each room for long-lasting results. On the main and second floor, we installed engineered hardwood while the basement flooring is installed with vinyl. Since the popcorn ceiling is outdated, we removed it and repainted the whole house on the inside. Additionally, all of the windows and the front door were replaced to make the complete home renovation a worthwhile experience.
